Ever heard of a Baboon Lemon? We hadn’t either until Drew Burchenal of CeeBee’s Citrus in Odessa, Florida, introduced us to it. You are not likely to find it at your local market, as CeeBee’s is the only grower we know that has this heirloom variety. The lemon is extra large, spicy on the palate, and has hints of curry, so it’s great for savory dishes.

We’re excited for Rachael of Brooklyn Bouillon to offer up her sustainable stocks on Plovgh this week. Take your pick of grass-fed beef stock, pasture-raised chicken stock, or — for you vegetarians and vegans out there — farm-fresh vegetable stock. Perfect for a hearty winter soup to keep you warm and full as the temperature continues to drop.
